DAY 1 – COPENHAGEN

Upon disembarkation from the ship in Copenhagen, embark on an engaging drive through some of this city’s most interesting neighborhoods.

Your first stop is Carlsberg City, where you will enjoy a short walking tour of its key landmarks. Developed on an old industrial site where brewery horses and beer carts once made their rounds, this vibrant area is now home to shops, green parks, bike paths, historic buildings, and more – including the famous Elephant Gate, with its four life-size granite elephant sculptures.

A drive then takes you through the surrounding neighborhoods of Vesterbro, Frederiksberg and Nørrebro, where you will have the chance to stroll Jægersborggade, a charming street lined with small galleries and shops.

Your next destination is Amalienborg Palace, the stately residence of one of the world's oldest monarchies. Following your brief stop at the palace, continue to the glass-covered market of Torvehallerne to enjoy a sandwich and beverage.

Reboard your transportation for the drive to the luxurious Villa Copenhagen. Built in 1912, this former headquarters of the Danish post office is now a chic hotel nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, right next to Tivoli Gardens. After check-in, you will have the afternoon free to relax and freshen up.

Your evening begins with a drive to the harbor. Here you board a private boat for a sunset canal cruise that will take you to a cozy waterfront restaurant. Relax and admire stunning views of the harbor as you savor a delicious three-course dinner before returning to the hotel.

DAY 2 – COPENHAGEN

Enjoy breakfast this morning before taking a short, guided walk to the Glyptotek art museum. An expert takes you on a tour of this iconic gallery founded in 1897 by brewer Carl Jacobsen. Home to ancient and modern art displays, the museum is renowned for its marble sculptures and greenhouse-like Winter Garden.

After refreshments are served by Picnic, the museum’s café, you will have some free time to explore on your own before taking a guided walk back to the hotel.

DAY 3 – COPENHAGEN

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your transfer to Copenhagen Kastrup Airport for your departing flight home.

DAY 1 – DEBARK IN COPENHAGEN

Disembark your Silversea ship and be met by the local representative. Board your vehicle and drive to Lejre Lands of Legends, a historical Viking site located on the outskirts of Roskilde. Enjoy a guided tour of the recreation of the largest royal hall known from the Viking Age in Denmark – The Great Royal Hall. With its over 600m2, it is a unique testimony to the culmination of Nordic architecture and craftsmanship in the Viking Age. 

A short walk from here lies Herthadalen, the perfect place to enjoy a tasty lunch made from local produce, all while surrounded by stunning natural beauty. 

Following a scenic drive, you will arrive at the historic Dragsholm Castle for an overnight stay. The castle was constructed over 800 years and has been deemed a UNESCO Global Geopark in the Odsherred area. Enjoy a guided tour of the castle and its grounds to learn about the extensive history and some of its secrets. A 3-course dinner will be provided this evening at the castle’s brasserie made from fresh and locally sourced produce.

DAY 2 - ROSKILDE/ COPENHAGEN

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before exploring the impressive Roskilde Cathedral. Built in 1175, the Cathedral is an architectural masterpiece constructed with more than 3 million bricks and named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.

Enjoy free time to roam the city of Roskilde. Your tour director can suggest places to stop for lunch, which is on your own account. 

Re-board your vehicle for a panoramic drive through Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Visit, the iconic Little Mermaid statue, the symbol of the city, before passing by other attractions such as the Tivoli Gardens and the Nyhavn canal. Check in at the NH Collection. The remainder of your evening is at your leisure, including dinner.

DAY 3 – COPENHAGEN/ ODENSE

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before meeting your Tour Director in the hotel’s lobby to begin your full day tour. Cross the Great Belt Bridge, an architectural wonder that stretches over 16 miles of the Great Belt strait, to reach the charming city of Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. Take a leisurely stroll through the city on a guided walking tour and visit the childhood home of the beloved author. Some of his most famous works include The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, and the Ugly Duckling.

Indulge in a delicious Danish lunch complete with smoerrebrød (Danish open-faced sandwiches) and beer, before heading to the Funen Open-Air Museum. Enjoy a guided tour and explore the authentic 18th & 19th century farmhouses, windmills, and other historical buildings.

Return to Copenhagen where the remainder of your evening is at your leisure. Dinner is also on your own account.

DAY 4 - COPENHAGEN

After breakfast at the hotel, checkout and be transferred to Copenhagen International Airport for your departing flight home.

*The standard checkout time at the hotel is 12:00 PM. If your flight departs late in the evening, please inquire about rates to guarantee a late checkout.

The drive from the Dragsholm Castle to the Copenhagen Airport is approximately a 90 min drive. For convenience purposes only, flights should be scheduled to depart Copenhagen International Airport after 12:00 Noon, to account for the long drive and required 3-hour check-in window for international flights.
